TVIA’s President’s Message June 2010
“It takes a village... .”
This year’s Village Voice Newsletter is
dedicated to Fred Bott and Sam Merryman. The Trinity Village Improvement Association recognizes these Village pioneers who
are gone but not forgotten for their contributions to the betterment of our beloved Village.
As president of the homeowner’s association
I want to thank the Trinity Village Improvement Association membership for your continued support of TVIA’s efforts
to promote the beautification, safety, and welfare of our Village community. Your TVIA dues pay for the ongoing expenses
for the River Gate keys, the Trinity Village Map/Community Board, brush clearing (intersections, hydrants, signage), safety
lighting, maintenance of the Trinity Village sign and planter, The Village Voice Newsletter, The Village Voice web site <gotrinityvillage.com>,
the Telephone Emergency Alert System, advertising for the Annual Village Yard Sale, and the Hawkins Bar Neighborhood Watch
program and the cruiser’s maintenance.
Hundreds of volunteer hours went into the planning,
implementation, and maintenance of these programs
and projects. Hundreds of hours will continue
to be
needed in the future. Consider volunteering your
time and expertise for the betterment of the Village.
Call me (629-2415) or stop by the house to see what you can do or to discuss your ideas to enhance or improve our Village.
The welcome mat is out for all residents to attend the
Annual TVIA meeting on Saturday July 3rd at 11 a.m. at the Village Fire Hall. This is your opportunity to have input and help
plan future TVIA projects and elect officers and board members. Officers and board members do not need to be a full time
residents.
Think about volunteering yourself, running for an office
or board position. Meetings are every 3 months (July, October, January, April) at 1 p.m. Do you have someone who you think
would be a good representative for you? Nominate them at the meeting.
Remember that volunteerism is rewarding and plays a big
part in the continuing revitalization of Trinity Village.
See you around the Village, Gary
P.S. “Thank You”
The board and I would like to thank Charlene Lundblade
for organizing the Annual Village Yard Sale. We also wish to thank Butch Mathews for offering to pay half the cost of improving
the river road. The board has approved an expenditure of $600 for TVIA’s share of the project.
