Grant Funded Village Water
Project Near Completion
The Trinity Village Water Company (TVWC)
is nearing completion of its new $2 million
dollar grant funded water treatment and
water storage facility. Mercer Fraser
Company, the general contractor for the
project, expects the initial start up and
testing to begin in June and have the new
plant fully operational by July 1st barring
any unexpected difficulties. Once the new
plant and water tank are online, the old
120,000 gallon storage reservoir will be
renovated and the fencing, finish grading,
and landscaping will be completed.
Danny Walsh, of TVWC, stresses that the
new plant is truly a community asset for
Trinity Village. Butch Mathews, of TVWC,
adds that in addition to delivering cleaner
water, it will double the water storage and
production capabilities. Naturally this will
be very beneficial, considering the two
major forest fires in the past 10 years that
threatened Trinity Village.
The new state of the art facility would not
have been possible without extraordinary
cooperation and coordination between
TVWC's Bill Anderson and Kay H eath, Josh
McKnight of Trinity Valley Consulting, Rick
Reinhard of Whitson Plumbing, Justin Zabel
and Mark Benzinger of Mercer Fraser, and
Tony Wiedeman and Mey Bunte of the
California Department of H ealth Services. A
special thanks goes to Steve Payne and his
staff of the Willow Creek Community
Services District, who were very generous
with their time and advice for the project.
