The meeting was called to order by Nancy Standley at 1:00 PM.  Members present were: Gary Dodson, Dorothy Fullam, Nancy Standley, Pat Briggs, Naomi Hunt, Carol Draper and Audrey Brown.  Guests present were: Charles Brown, Cindy Gatioan, Rogene Rawlins, Marilyn Dillard and Harold Hunt.

The minutes of the January meeting were approved.

Dorothy Fullam gave the Treasurers report:

Beginning Balance $5865.02

Hawkins Bar VFD   1500.00

PG&E (Oct., Nov., Dec.)       78.33

Gary Standley (Cruiser tire repair)       30.00

Nancy Standley (flowers for sign)       14.54

Nancy Standley (Neighborhood Watch Dues)       33.00

Bank Balance January 3, 2009   $4209.15

We are still waiting for better weather to repaint the sign at the entrance.

We discussed the missing flowers at the entrance sign.  Cindy said the deer were eating the flowers at the sign and they were not stolen.  Nancy will replace the missing flowers with new ones.

The new water system was discussed and Nancy read a letter from Kay Heath. They are putting in the new pipe lines for the treatment plant now.

Audrey received correspondence from the Hawkins Bar VFD thanking us for our generous donation and support for the Fire Department.  The note was signed by their Board members and the Volunteers.  The Department now has 12 volunteers, 6 licensed drivers for the fire truck, 2 EMT’s, and 4 First Responders.  Everyone will have training next month to be certified in CPR and First Aid.  They are also applying for grants through Trinity County to help purchase new radios and pagers.

May 24, 2009 will be the Annual Burton Pickle Walk Run.  The monies go to support the Fire Department.  Nancy Standley, Audrey Brown, and Pat Briggs will be asking for donations for a Bake Sale to be held on that day.  There will also be a raffle.

Naomi presented a petition to have the mail boxes, now located at the old store site, moved to the Mini Mart across the highway.

Nancy reviewed a letter sent from TVIA to Dianne Feinstein, regarding the effect wild-fires have on Trinity Village. It includes our concerns of the fire itself and the exposure to toxic amounts of pollutants and the unspoken policy of “Let it burn.”  We can remember when wildfires were actively fought by the USFS and consequently did not range across whole watersheds and last all season as they now may.

The next meeting will be held at the Fire House on July 5, 2009, at 10:A.M. followed by the General Meeting at 11:A.M.

With no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

Audrey Brown, Secretary
